According to the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection - DIBP, here is the list of the visas that can allow you to work in Australia:

 
  • Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) and Work and Holiday Visa (subclass 462): valid for one year if you are between 18 and 30 years old ; allow you to work full time (maximum 6 month for the same employer). 
  • Student Visa: valid for the whole duration of your selected study in Australia, allows you to work part time (maximum 40 h in a fortnight) and without any limitation during your holidays 
  • E-work Visa: valid for one year but does not allow to stay more than 3 consecutive months in Australia and to receive a fixed salary. 
  • Business Sponsorship Visa (Subclass 457) and ENS (Employer Nomination Scheme - Subclass 186): valid from 1 to 4 year; you must find a Company in Australia that is willing to employ you and that meet the profile required by DIPB
  • “Training and Research” Visa: allows you to do an internship (paid or not) for one year  maximum. The Company hosting you will need to have the license from DIPB and a specific mission to offer you.
  • Post Study Work Visa (duration of 2 to 4 year): you are eligible to this visa only if you have completed at least 2 years of an Higher Education Degree in an Australian University or equivalent
